Extreme Biodiesel’s Standard Extractor
The Standard Extractor is Extreme Biodiesel’s original processor. It was released after 2 years of research and development. We spared no expense in our design, safety, and functionality of our Extractor systems.
Unlike most of the other biodiesel processors on the market today, we only use high quality components in the construction of our biodiesel Extractors to include: Polypropylene, Polyethylene, and Teflon. These components are fully compatible with all of the necessary chemicals for processing biodiesel.
Our custom tanks are made specifically for processing biodiesel by using double cross-link polyethylene for added strength and durability. You cannot find these tanks anywhere but at Extreme Biodiesel. Our custom tanks exceed the standards of all those found on the Internet today!
The Standard Extractor utilizes a water-wash process to purify the biodiesel. It is as simple as connecting a garden hose to the Extractor and turning on the water. The Extractor does the rest. The water-wash process puts out about 4 gallons of water per hour in a fine mist over the top of the biodiesel. Because the water is heavier than oil, it falls through the biodiesel and captures all of the soaps, glycerins and methanol, leaving a clean washed biodiesel.
At this stage, drain the glycerin from the bottom of the tank. Glycerin can be composted or you can make soap with it. Your biodiesel is now ready to be dried.
The drying of the biodiesel is done either by Mother Nature and her sunlight, or simply by heating up the biodiesel until it is clear and dry.
Once dried, you are now ready to experience the benefits of Biodiesel!

STEP 1: HEAT THE VEGETABLE OIL TO APPROXIMATELY 140 DEGREES.
STEP 2: DRAW THE HEATED OIL USING THE EXTRACTOR DRAW TUBE INTO THE LARGE MIXING TANK.
STEP 3: TAKE SAMPLE OF OIL AND DO YOUR TITRATION OF THE OIL.
STEP 4: ONCE YOU HAVE TITRATED, GO ONTO EXTREME BIODIESEL’S WEBSITE AND CLICK ON THE TITRATION CALCULATOR. ENTER THE NUMBERS TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH METHANOL AND LYE IS NEEDED FOR THAT BATCH.
STEP 5: WEIGH THE APPROPRIATE LYE AND PLACE IN TOP OF THE METHOXIDE MIXING TANK AND PUMP IN THE CALCULATED NUMBER OF GALLONS OF METHANOL. TURN ON METHANOL PUMP FOR 10 MINUTES TO MIX.
STEP 6: INJECT THE METHOXIDE INTO THE LARGE MIXING TANK AT ONE GALLON/MINUTE.
STEP 7: ONCE THAT IS COMPLETED, TURN ON THE TIMER TO THE METHANOL PUMP FOR 30 MINUTES TO MIX. ONCE MIXED, LET THE REACTION OCCUR FOR NO LESS THAN 2.5 H. YOU CAN GO LONGER, BUT NOT LESS THAN THE 2.5 HRS.
STEP 8: DRAIN OFF THE GLYCERIN BYPRODUCT BY USING THE DRAIN HOSE AND VALVE.
STEP 9: BEGIN WATERWASHING THE RAW BIODIESEL AND DRAIN OFF EVERY 1-2 HRS UNTIL WATER IS CLEAR. ONCE COMPLETED, YOU WILL HAVE TO DRY THE BIODIESEL BY HEATING IT UP SO THAT ANY WATER TRAPPED IN THE OIL WILL EVAPORATE OUT.
